Now, From Kings, A New Station Altimeter Calibrated and Certified To FAA Specs

If you fly IFR, you know you must be able to obtain a local altimeter setting for the airport where you intend to land before you can legally make an instrument approach.

Even airports that have in instrument approach, but not tower, no ATIS, no AWOS, or no ASOS are still required to have an altimeter setting source in order for the approach to be legally utilized.

One method of assuring accurate altimeter settings is the use, together, of two aircraft-type sensitive altimeters calibrated and certified to published specifications by an appropriately certificate FAA approved instrument repair station.

This compact Kings Station Altimeter Unit fits neatly on a desk or counter, or can be easily mounted on a wall.

To provide Airport Managers and others a convenient, reliable and easily available means of determining accurate settings, Kings Avionics has designed a station altimeter unit using two altimeters in a special wood cabinet. Both altimeters are calibrated and certified to FAA standards. For availability and pricing, contact Lynn Mitchell at Kings Avionics, 801-539-8412.
