Need A/V Entertainment Systems Certified For Use in Your Airplane? We Can Help
If you operate a Gulfstream, Hawker or other large cabin class aircraft, you or others who travel with you may have wished for a stereo music system or DVD to help you relax on long trips--or perhaps a modem fax for business communications with the ground. But some electronic equipment is not certified for aircraft use due to possible interference with proper operation of flight deck equipment.
At Kings Avionics, we have the authorization and equipment to test such electronic devices for unacceptable levels of radio energy emissions and can modify them to meet RTCA DO-160C certification requirements for use in aircraft.
Jeff Nicholls, an electronics technician and sales engineer who has been with Kings for 16 years, does our DO-160C testing.
We have also worked with Life Flight to help them meet requirements for installation of certain equipment in their helicopters. Life Flight wanted equipment installed to allow flight crews to communicate with other emergency vehicles, search and rescue teams, mission control, and to allow flight nurses to communicate with the hospital emergency room. Kings technicians did DO-160C testing and modified the required equipment so it could be certified for use in Life Flight's aircraft.
If you are interested in having entertainment equipment installed in your airplane, we will be glad to work with you to test and certify
it to meet FAA requirements.
Call us at 801-539-8412. Ask for Doug Hayden or Jeff Nicholls.

as a result of DO-160C testing and modification by Kings Avionics technicians. |

DO-160C testing is done on a 4 ft.
by 8 ft. grounded copper bench with special antennas to detect any signals generated by equipment proposed for installation which might interfere with the operation of flight deck equipment. |
