Who Are These Kings Avionics People, And What Would We Do Without Them?
Many of our customers have never seen any of the people in this article. That's because the principal offices of Kings Avionics are located a short distance back from the flight line at Salt Lake City International Airport and many of our customers do business with us at our flight line hangar or in their own flight line facilities. These folks may never have occasion to visit our main offices. So the only Kings people they see may be the technicians who work on their airplanes. And, of course, this applies to many of our customers at other airports where we perform onsite service.
But, like many other growing companies, we have staff of valuable support people who operate behind the scenes to make it possible for the technicians you do see to do their work.
Here is a quick look at what some of these people do, to make our operation run efficiently and help us provide quality service to our customers...
Kelly Jensen - Kelley's duties include managing the office and customer service. In addition to seeing that the office runs smoothly, she also helps out in any situation that requires attention, and fills in for others in the office who may temporarily be away from their assigned duties. |
Marsha Mitchell - As customer service representative, she provides service at the front counter for parts orders or payment of invoices. Her duties include opening up, updating and finalizing work orders; providing quotes for exchange, rental and loaner units; assisting customers regarding status of aircraft and follow-up on in-house and outside repairs and providing a monthly report. She also orders equipment, parts and office supplies; ships units to customers or to manufacturers for repair; answers incoming calls; types invoices, as necessary, and updates manuals for the Quality Assurance Manager. |
Tia DeGroot - Tia's duties cover a wide and varied range. She is in charge of customer service, invoicing, accounts payable and bookkeeping. |
Lonnette Ashenden - Lonnette's realm is receiving, processing and inspection of incoming parts and equipment and purchasing. She is our parts and equipment room supervisor, ILS sales contact and general facilitator, which includes answering phones and assisting staff and technicians in various ways. |
Brian Low - Brian is our Quality Assurance Manager. At Kings Avionics, every installation or repair has a specific step by step inspection procedure that is carried out in sequence. Each step of any installation requires an inspection approval before the installation can continue. Inspection includes mechanical and structural items as well as wiring and connections. All inspections, as well as internal and FAA paperwork, are controlled under the eagle eye of Brian Low. He spent 35 years with the Department of Defense as an avionics technician. He not only knows avionics he is intimately familiar with FAA requirements and procedures. As one of our employees once said, Brain Low may be the best friend a Kings Avionics customer ever had. |
