Century Flight Systems Issues Service Bulletin Regarding Frayed Bridle Cables
A recent Service Bulletin (CSB-2005-01) from Century Flight Systems warns of an improperly wrapped bridle cable that frayed and broke at the capstan pin, causing some control wheel friction. Century recommends a physical inspection of all bridle cables that have not been recently checked for fraying and that bridle cables be checked at each annual inspection and/or every 100 hours of operation.
