Kings To Host Salt Lake City Area Site For Bendix/King Wingman Datalink Services
Kings Avionics has been selected by Honeywell to host its FIS transmitter site for Salt Lake City and the surrounding area.
Bendix/King is installing a national network of ground based transmitting stations across America to provide datalink weather services to aircraft. These services include NEXRAD weather, automatically updated METARS, PIREPS, TAFS and Alert Weather Watches.
The Bendix/King transmitting equipment will be positioned in a location that will illuminate the entire airport, including taxiways, runways, and hangers. The transmitter is linked by satellite to a central weather data provider and the information is then forwarded to airborne Bendix/King KDR 510 datalink receivers aboard aircraft for viewing by pilots.
Kings Avionics is proud to be the host of this new Bendix/King service to pilots in this area.
