Kings Avionics Promotes Three To New Postions

Three key staff memebers have recently been promoted, Steve Hayden, Kings Avionics president announced. Hayden said all three have been performing the duties of their new positions for some time, and that the announcement is to formally recognize their new job titles and acknowledge the fine work all three have been doing in those positions for Kings Avionics customers.

Jim Goodrich has been promoted to Avioinics Sales Manager. He was previously Installation Department Supervisor. In this new assignment, he works with customers to help select avionics equipment that best fits their needs and that will be compatible with other equipment now in their airplanes. Jim has an associate of applied science degree in Electronics/Avionics and holds an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license. He joined Kings Avionics as an installer/technician in 1991. He advanced steadily to Installation Department Supervisor and also worked in sales. When those responsibilities were divided earlier this year, Jim was promoted to his present position.

Jared Christensen has been named Installation Department Supervisor. He has an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license and worked in that capacity in St. George, Utah. He also did avionics installations which were inspected by Steve Hayden, which is how Steve became acquainted with Jared's work and induced him to join Kings Avionics five years ago. In addition to his A&P license, Jared has an Inspection Authorization (IA) from the FAA and holds a private pilot's license.

Stuart Ashenden has been promoted to Assistant Service Department Supervisor and Technical Advisor. He has a variety of training and experience in avionics and as a pilot. He learned basic avionics in the U. S. Navy and serviced avionics on P-3 Orions, also served for two years as an enlisted navigator, worked part time for a Cessna dealer as an avionics technician and earned a private pilot's license while still in the navy. He later worked for a large FBO while attending Georgia Tech. He joined Embry-Riddle as a simulator technician in Prescott, Arizona, and earned an associate degree in Air Science. He has extensive experience maintaining avionics for two commuter airlines and large corporate jets. As a pilot, Stuart has more than 4800 hours. He has a commercial license with multi-engine and instrument ratings and is type-rated on DC-3s and Twin-Otters. Along the way, he also earned an FCC First Class R/T license and qualified as a senior parachute rigger. He joined Kings Avionics in 1996 as Qualiy Assurance/Engineering Technician and large aircraft specialist.
